Today is my 22nd birthday.
To celebrate this anti-climax i've subscribed to deviantart under this new alias.

I'd like to thank my father for buying this subcription for me. I'll have to submit a deviation in his honour sooner or later.
I will still use my original (and still active) deviant account:

to submit art and designs that i deem more personal and less apropriate to be clogging up my personal-portfolio based subscription account.
i wasn't happy with subcribing "headwired": because i'm not happy with the name or the amount of variation in my gallery.
so this account will remain a free-account. and my main showcase account from now on will be
i hope you'll enjoy my selective submissions into my new subscribed account...once i get up off my lazy arse and start filling that one up with crap too.

that's interesting, what you're saying about gauging the consumer's tastes. but bare in mind the consumer changes with every project. and just because other artists like a particular deviation, doesn't mean a specific client would.

graphic designers are the prostitutes of art.
(fuck it.)
I selected the Designs and Interfaces category, corporate, and used the Most Favorited filter. I decided to watch the people whose work I liked the most but also had a good amount of other viewers, because it's a good gauge of consumer tastes :-D

I could easily do a whole set of similar designs in that style. but i like to mix it up.
I find it boringly predictable to stick to just one medium or style.
the 'problem' with that is, one deviation might become very popular and then my next one might get fuck all attention, because it's completly different.
*shrug* c'est la vie.
